Nestled in the heart of Cape Town’s Northern suburbs, this reputable family business has become synonymous with integrity, deep community roots, and being the jeweller of choice for every generation.

Founders Wilco and Hermine Van Deijl laid the foundation for a remarkable legacy, instilling a profound sense of pride and belonging within their staff and patrons. Wilco, the highest qualified jeweller in South Africa, attained esteemed credentials, including being recognized as a Fellow of the British Horological Institute. A Tradition of Excellence Continues

The Van Deijl legacy thrives through the contributions of sons Ernst, Liebrecht, and Henri. Ernst’s corporate management and financial expertise, Liebrecht’s exceptional talent as a lead jewellery designer, and Henri’s commitment to gemmology have propelled the family business forward. Their combined efforts have resulted in accolades, including prestigious awards such as the Shining Light Award and the Wax to the Max Design Competition.

In 1994, the reins of the family business were officially handed over to Ernst, Liebrecht, and Henri, marking the launch of a new destination store in Tyger Valley Centre. Van Deijl’s reputation grew, forging a strong relationship with Rolex and expanding their offerings to include a wide range of fine timepieces. The design department embraced cutting-edge technology, showcasing Van Deijl’s designs in stunning 3D. Subsequent expansions introduced a Mont Blanc Corner and the Pandora @ Van Deijl boutique store.

A Flagship Store for the Future

In 2015, Van Deijl unveiled its state-of-the-art flagship store in Tyger Valley Centre, becoming the ultimate destination for jewellery and watch lovers in the Northern suburbs. This expansive store integrates a showroom featuring beautifully crafted jewellery collections and a meticulously curated selection of watches from renowned brands. It also houses an elegantly designed Rolex showroom, a modern Mont Blanc corner, conference facilities, and a gemmological lab, among other offerings.

Van Deijl remains committed to its community and staff, as demonstrated by the establishment of the Van Deijl Employee Trust and its focus on B2B manufacturing. Embracing growth and development, the brand launched a user-friendly website and established a vibrant presence on Instagram, fostering an online community of jewellery and watch enthusiasts.

With an unwavering dedication to integrity, reliability, quality, expertise, and excellent service, Van Deijl Jewellers embraces the future while cherishing its rich inheritance. Join the Van Deijl community in celebrating all that the Northern suburbs has to offer.
