There’s something special about a community coming together, especially when a good afternoon can do some good too.
On Saturday, 19 September 2026, from 2pm, Linda Nunes of Pam Golding Properties is bringing the Eagle Canyon community together for a Teddy Bear Picnic filled with live music, good food, family fun and, hopefully, a whole lot of teddy bears.
The goal is to collect 1,000 teddy bears for children in need.
The Teddy Bear Picnic forms part of the Pam Golding Properties Gauteng Metro CSI programme, with the support of the Heart of Gold Trust. Together, we’re turning a relaxed community get together into an opportunity to bring a little comfort and joy to children who need it most.
An afternoon for the whole family
The picnic will take place on the soccer field opposite the tennis courts at Eagle Canyon Golf Estate, with plenty happening throughout the afternoon.
Expect live music, a jumping castle for the little ones, picnic seating and umbrellas, as well as food and beverages available to purchase.
Prefer to pack your own favourites? You’re welcome to bring along a picnic basket, snacks and beverages, find a comfortable spot on the grass and settle in for the afternoon with family, friends and neighbours.
Beverages will also be available to purchase from the on site drinks truck.
One teddy can mean so much
At the heart of the day is a simple ask: bring a teddy bear.
We’re hoping to collect 1,000 teddies, with every bear destined to bring a little comfort, companionship and reassurance to a child in need.
Whether you arrive with one teddy tucked under your arm or a few to add to the collection, every contribution gets us closer to that 1,000 teddy goal.
There’s something rather wonderful about imagining the Eagle Canyon soccer field slowly filling up with teddy bears as the afternoon unfolds.
Good company for a good cause
The Teddy Bear Picnic is really about the things that make a neighbourhood feel like a community. Families spending time together, children playing, neighbours catching up and people rallying around a cause that matters.
So bring the kids, round up your friends, pack something delicious and make an afternoon of it.
Most importantly, don’t forget your teddy.
Let’s see if Eagle Canyon can reach 1,000 teddy bears and send each one on its way with a little love from the community.
