The architectural philosophy of Intaba Ridge is that all designs should be in harmony with the beautiful natural surroundings to ensure peace and tranquillity. The design philosophy is distinctly Natal Colonial Verandah inspired by luxury game lodges. This is ideally suited to the climate and maximizes the interaction with the environment. The style is open and free flowing, with large verandahs and outside living areas.

To protect other investors the Design Code and Landscaping Code are fully set out in the Intaba Ridge Development Manual. To further assist with having a common design ethos, that enhances both the environment and the quality of the development, the Home Owners Design Review Committee must approve all designs.

Oribi numbers are decreasing at a rate of about 100 a year, and farmers have been urged to join this year’s census to help conserve the species.
The Homeowners Association of Intaba Ridge Estate will be able to give feedback to the Endangered Wildlife Trust’s Threatened Grassland Species Programme to ensure that the Oribi is protected.
