Windspur Estate

Windspur Estate is situated in the village of Nottingham Road in the KwaZulu Natal Midlands. Comprising 34 spacious freehold plots, this small and exclusive eco-estate embodies natural beauty and tranquillity in abundance. This eco-sensitive development incorporates environmentally friendly, sustainable operations and green energy consumption.

Landowners may select a Plot and Plan package which has been thoughtfully designed to reflect the contemporary country lifestyle that Windspur Estate embodies.  Variations can be made to the plan design.  Furniture packages are also available.

The estate embraces “Contemporary Country Architecture” making use of natural materials (including re-cycled timber and stone from the site) and colours so that the easy eco-sensitive living designs sit comfortably and blend in easily with their natural surroundings.  To prevent a negative visual and ecological impact on the surrounds and the eco-estate, the buildings are restricted in height, scale, materials and finishes.

Windspur Estate has been designed with energy efficiency at its core and thus contributing to many energy saving solutions for a more eco-sustainable lifestyle for the owners. The electrical supply to each house will be limited to 60 amps in order to reduce future electrical costs and encourage alternative methods. We will assist all owners to invest in Solar PV systems with batteries and inverters. The building envelopes will have insulation under floor, in external walls and under roofs to contain energy and heat.
