The Resort

Further and through the sliding double glass doors leads into an outdoor verandah which has a serving hatch to the kitchen, seating area, dining area, dart board and gas Braai. The verandah has 3 canvas drops which can enclose to shield from the wind when required. A plunge pool allows one to cool of the heat whilst overlooking the sea. All the bedrooms offer outstanding ocean views with sight-seeing of whales during the whale season – between June to October.

The property can accommodate up to 12 people has a full time housekeeper to service the resort. It has 24 hour security, safe storage for boats, a bakery and 2km of private beach.

The Area

Situated approximately 500km from Maputo and 12 km from Inhambane, on the tranquil Indian Ocean Coast between Coconut Bay to the north and Guinjata Bay to the south. This tropical getaway is situated on 32ha of pristine, crystal clear coastline, with unspoilt sand dunes and breath taking endless wide beaches.

The Inhambane airport is a 30min drive, Guinjata Bay is 6km and has a dive centre, 3 restaurants, supermarket and an hospital. There is a filling station within 4km. there is also a fishing charter at Guinjata. The bay is great for snorkeling, and very safe to swim. Generally the sea water temperature is around 25 degrees Celsius all year round and water visibility is always between 10-30m.

Sunbathing, safe swimming, scuba diving and snorkeling, kayaking are just some of the many activities that may be enjoyed directly from each dwelling. Guinjata also offer ocean safaris for those who aren't scuba divers.

Access

The resort can be accessed by road and/or air.

By Road: Access by road is a pleasant drive except for the last 6 km on a dirt road which is not suitable for the passage of 2x4 vehicles, or vehicles with low clearance. The last 6 km is thick soft sand where you will need to deflate your tires to 1.5 bar and engage 4 x 4.

By Air: Easy Air access from Johannesburg on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Charter flights are also available from Inhambane.
