Hi, my name is Katy Cooke & I am a Leisure Agent for Pam Golding in Mozambique. I cover most of our beautiful beaches. I am your girl if you are considering a holiday/second home or a tourism business on one of our beautiful corners of paradise! 

I came to Mozambique over 8 years ago now, from London, England where I had been working for the Metropolitan Police in Brixton. I had taken a career break for a year in an attempt to recharge my batteries and flown out to South Africa looking for volunteering opportunities. After supporting Sir Ian Botham’s charity walk across RZA I watched some of the England Cricket tour with the Barmy Army and then received a call to come out to Mozambique and support a small, independent orphanage, in rural Katembe, to help them settle into a new management structure and routine. I got myself a visa and came across for a visit for a week or so to see if I liked the place and have never left!

Now, over 8 years on, having spent the first 2.5 at the orphanage, I live and work in Maputo & Pemba and am one of the country's biggest fans! I still support the orphanage in a more sustainable way than before through fundraising events and donation drives. Through Pam Golding, I am blessed to be able to use the fantastic resources and expertise of the country team to provide first-class relocation & real estate services to new people arriving here and seeking their perfect beach property.

I also manage the Pemba portfolio for both Leisure and Commercial sales and rentals. 

I am also the agent responsible for farm sales across Mozambique. If you are looking to grow trees, farm livestock, or install a fish farm, I am also your girl!

“Katy Cooke is without doubt the best agent in Mozambique. We are well seasoned expats, but moving to Africa in the middle of a global pandemic was a whole different level of complexity. Even before we arrived, Katy found us short term accommodation while she worked on finding us long term housing. After we arrived, she saw when we were looking utterly overwhelmed and she swept in to take us to fun lunch places, places where the locals go, so that we got a real taste of Maputo. These circuit breakers helped ‘reset’. She was on to every detail. She even took us to a giant Chinese owned shop to buy the electric water pump that goes on the top of the drinking water bottles. I’d never have found such a device on my own! But it solved the issue of getting clean water from the 20L bottles into cups and jugs without spilling half of it on the floor! Katy was always there. Even at Christmas she was working. When we moved to our long term house (which she organised), she was here to help check off the boxes as they arrived and she chipped in with the removal guys to put together bunk beds and desks. Nothing was too much trouble. Katy is extremely friendly but always highly professional. She’s patient and finds ways to get things done when that’s quite frankly not the culture here.
