Along with many South Africans, on the 18th of July we are celebrating ‘Mandela Day’ – a tribute to the values that Nelson Mandela stood for, and a call upon each of us to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
We are therefore excited to launch our annual Jars of Hope initiative that aims to bring communities together, and to provide a warm & nourishing meal to those who need it most this winter.
Throughout our offices in the Boland & Overberg, we are collecting jars filled with a simple list of dry soup ingredients. Donations are always appreciated, and you can drop them off at participating offices or call us to collect. We are also gathering empty glass jars and filling them ourselves.
These ‘meals in a jar’ are typically donated to local hospitals, shelters, or other organizations that work with people in need.
