Giving back is always in style, especially when it comes to making matric dance dreams come true.
Jo-Ann Winks, Residential Rental Agent for the Atlantic Seaboard, has initiated a Matric Farewell Dance Drive, inviting gently worn dress donations for matriculants who otherwise would miss out on this exciting event.
Each year there are many less fortunate girls in our communities who cannot afford to attend their matric farewell dance, unless they are gifted with a pre-loved dress to wear for this special occasion.
With matric dance season in full swing, now is the perfect time to bring out those formal dresses hiding in your closet, and give them a new, and much appreciated, lease on life.
In taking this drive further and donating these dresses to a worthy charity, Jo-Ann has collaborated with close friend and director, Katherine, of Little Brinks, a NPO organisation dedicated to making the lives of children a little better.
Jo-Ann’s initiative is embraced under the Heart of Gold banner, part of Pam Golding Properties’ corporate social investment programme. The Heart of Gold Trust supports worthy community upliftment projects throughout the country.
