Many of the properties have views towards the mountains or overlooking the lights of Pietermaritzburg. It is a charming village with the character and friendliness of a small artistic community and a number of excellent schools.

Hilton continues to be popular with people of all ages who enjoy the village lifestyle, country atmosphere and good schools, with the bright lights, cinemas and shopping mall of Pietermaritzburg a few kilometres away.
