Plantation - Zimbali Coastal Resort

Zimbali’s 18-hole championship golf course was designed by Tom Weisskopf and is ranked in the SA Top 30 by Golfers Digest. The golf course is supported by a well-stocked pro shop, driving range, half-way house and putting greens. The resort also boasts 6 flood-lit tennis courts, 2 squash courts and a five-star gym with a studio hosting Pilates and body toning classes.

Zimbali inhabits one of South Africa’s last remaining natural coastal forests. Walking trails and wooden viewing decks allow residents to interact with nature, while two extensive pool complexes offer direct beach access. Netcare’s Alberlito Hospital is only 1.5km north of Zimbali’s main gate. In line with Ballito's rapid expansion, this facility has been designed to accommodate future growth and will ultimately develop into a much larger hospital.

The new Ballito town centre is only 2km's drive from Zimbali and offers a comprehensive shopping experience. Nearby shopping centers include the Ballito Lifestyle Centre and Ballito Junction. Both these shopping complexes are wheelchair friendly and offer free and secure 24-hour parking. The Gateway Theatre of Shopping, one of the largest malls in the southern hemisphere, is only 20 minutes’ drive south of Zimbali.

Zimbali has direct access to the M4. Umhlanga and Durban can be reached within 20 and 40 minutes, respectively. The Wild Coast (south), Drakensberg (west) and Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Games Reserve, as well as the St Lucia World Heritage Site (north) are within a 2-2.5 hour travelling radius.
