" TESTIMONIAL: NICO KELLERMANN
To whom it may concern.
I have known Nico for only 6 months, but in that time I have come to trust him implicitly, rely on his experience and good judgement in many areas, not just in his area of expertise as an estate agent for Pam Golding. I would like to think that we have become friends.
After my initial visit to the Pam Golding office in Stillbay, following my decision to put my house on the market and return to the UK, Nico came out to my house. He explained thoroughly, clearly and professionally, the processes of preparing to put the house on the market, the marketing of the house, the stages of the sale and the potential aftermath of a sale.
This was a necessity for me as, being an English immigrant, I had little idea or experience of the process. My status as a permanent resident, rather than a citizen of South Africa, would entail complications. Nico assured me, with great confidence, that he would assist me in any way to overcome those complications. He has remained true to his word, dealing with a number of issues related to the sale of the house, the disposal of my furniture and my move to the UK, both while I was still in South Africa and furthermore, after I had left the country.
At the same first meeting, Nico spoke about what he believed in, his work ethic and a number of other things. What he said and the way he expressed himself made both me and my partner feel that we could trust him, not only to do a very good job, but also that we could trust him personally, as an honest, straightforward, caring man.
In everything Nico has done since that first meeting, he has shown great knowledge, wisdom, experience, thoroughness, patience and persistence. My partner and I value Nico’s integrity very highly.
He did an excellent job of composing the comprehensive advertisement to post on the Pam Golding website. He gave me good advice in choosing a solicitor. He accompanied me to the solicitors and helped explain my particular set of circumstances. He used his contacts to facilitate my obtaining the beetle certificate and the electrical compliance certificate. He accompanied me to my bank to help resolve certain issues there. He always happily made time in the office to listen when I had questions or concerns and he always had suggestions or solutions. He acted as an intermediary between myself and the buyer in a number of instances, both while I was in the country and after I had left.
Nico has helped in any number of ways that were well outside his remit as an estate agent.
I also know that both Nico and his wife, Retha, contribute freely and greatly to the local community: for example, certain items from my home which I did not want to transfer to the UK and which had not been sold, Nico personally transported to the old age home to be sold for their benefit in one of their jumble sales.
I am certain that, without his help and his generous nature, my move from my South African home to the UK, would have been so much more difficult and stressful.
