Hi, I am Dave Walker residing in the hamlet of Rhodes in the Eastern Cape Highlands. I was drawn into the Pam Golding Properties family in 2007 by Riem and Anina de Beer who were the PGP agents based in Aliwal North at the time and have never looked back. I deal with residential property and farm sales in the Highlands. I have been in the real estate industry for almost a decade and have successfully achieved my certificates for NQF4 and Professional Practitioner in Real Estate (PPRE). At the moment I am busy with the Estate Agent’s affairs Board Continuing Professional Development program (CPD).
Ongoing annual PGP training events have been both educational and inspiring adding to the overall Pam Golding experience. Born in Bloemfontein, I have lived in the Eastern Cape Highlands for 26 years and in Rhodes since 1995. It is a very special part of the country visited by very special people. Way off the beaten track, Rhodes is far from the big centres and is located on the banks of the Bell River that forms part of the Kraai River catchment that flows into the Orange River near Aliwal North.
The headwaters of the Kraai have self-sustaining populations of wild rainbow trout as well as indigenous smallmouth yellowfish, both fine sporting species taken on a fly. Each and every client receives my diligent attention in order to either dispose of or acquire a property or properties for the simple reason that providing a first class service is part of the “I am Pam” way of doing things. When not dealing with property matters, I have a guesthouse in Rhodes where attention to detail and providing guests with a home-from-home experience is the foundation of the business.
Our motto is “The Proof of the Pudding is in the Return Rate”. We must be doing something right as we have guests who return year after year, some from as far afield as the United Kingdom, Canada, Botswana and Tanzania in addition to the many South African residents who return on a regular basis. My “official” business place is also the headquarters of the Wild Trout Association (of which I am the chairman) through which, access to more than 200km of running water can be arranged in the Highlands.
Live Remarkable.
