Hello, I am Catherine Bryan and I have recently joined the Pam Golding Properties family after a break of 4 years since moving back to South Africa from the USA.
I was born in Zambia (then Northern Rhodesia), where I did most of my schooling and attended College. I moved to Johannesburg, South Africa where I held the position of Personal Assistant to the General Manager of Virgin Active. I moved to Columbus, Ohio, USA in 2003 and attended Hondros College to obtain my Real Estate Licence. After passing the exam, I joined Coldwell Banker King Thompson Real Estate Company and passed their exhaustive training modules to proceed with my chosen profession.
Nothing gives me more pleasure in my profession than seeing the joy it gives my clients to move into their very first home. I pride myself in finding a buyer for my seller who either wants to upgrade, downgrade or even move to another country. I am still in touch with all my sellers and buyers in the USA and love seeing them happy in their respective homes that I assisted them with. I understand what it’s like moving from one home to another, from one province to another, from one country to another.
Buying or selling a home is quite an adventure. This can be one of the greatest OR most stressful time of anyone’s life, depending on who you have alongside, helping you. I understand that it’s been your home for years or that it will be your home for years to come. It’s important to me that you understand I am there to help you in one of the most important and probably the most expensive investments you will make in your lifetime.
I believe in good, plain old-fashioned service, honesty and integrity. Communication is essential (both ways) to maintain a healthy relationship, be it personal or in business. At the end of our transaction, I count myself fortunate to be referred to family and friends – it’s the lifeblood of my profession and the highest compliment.
I am married to George, who retired as a Detective with the Columbus, Ohio Police Department after 32 years of service. Between us, we have 4 grown daughters and an assortment of grandchildren who live in various parts of South Africa and the USA.
I am passionate about fishing (catch and release only) as well as photography and travel. My husband and I have travelled extensively throughout Southern Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Canada, USA, the Caribbean and Mexico. My husband and I spend most of our spare time outdoors. I play golf (pretty badly) but can get around 18 holes without too much trouble.
