Good day, I’m Sakkie van Rooyen and I am the Franchisee for Pam Golding Properties in Nelspruit. I have 25 years’ experience in the real estate industry and I have been living in Nelspruit for the last 27 years. I have obtained my NQF5 in real estate and I also have a background in Town and Regional Planning, which greatly assists me in the real estate industry. I grew up and finished my school career in a small town called Thabazimbi. After doing my 2 year national service duty in the air force I studied and played rugby at the University of Pretoria. My working career started at a Town Planning firm before my father and I opened the Pam Golding Properties Franchise in Nelspruit. I am married to Colette and we have 2 children, Izet and Dirk Willem.

I love being part of the deal, negotiating and strategizing between parties and at the end enjoying the excitement of closing the deal. It is very important to me that all parties are happy and satisfied after the deal has been finalised. I am in managing capacity but I am also involved in the selling of commercial properties, commercial farms, hospitality properties and residential and commercial developments.

I’m very proud to say that we have achieved many accolades over the years such as Three times National winner for Franchise of the year, Two times winner for the Franchisee of the year, Nine time regional winners for most units sold and highest sales value, Three times Lowvelder newspaper reader’s choice for the best Estate Agent in the Lowveld, Three times PMR award for Best Estate Agent in Mpumalanga as well as being Nominated for a Bentley award for marketing Shandon Wildlife estate.

I have a great group of people that I work with and they are like family to me. It is very important to me that everyone is in a happy working environment and that we work together as a team. We care about each other and I’m their go to guy if they have a problem. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family in and around the house, having a lamb spit braai with friends, making a spicy peri peri sauce and spending time on the restoration of my vintage 1969 Chevy pickup.
