Doreen is a seasoned professional with over 15 years of diverse experience in Customer Service, Human Resources and Operations across the retail, services and real estate industries. With a strong background in customer-centric roles, I have honed my skills in delivering exceptional service and building long-lasting relationships with clients and stakeholders. My expertise extends to Human Resources, where I have successfully implemented strategies to attract, develop and retain top talent. Additionally, I hold a solid understanding of operations management, ensuring streamlined processes and efficient workflows. My versatile background and dedication to excellence makes me a valuable asset in any industry I serve in.
Before I moved to Mozambique in 2018 to rejoin my young family, I was at the heart of my career progression in Human Resources working with a group of companies managing 11 Business Units across different industries with an employee pool of 260. My role included offering advisory and support to the 11 BUs, collaborating with subsidiaries to execute end-to-end employee lifecycle processes – from recruitment and induction to employee relations and exit. Additionally, I used my leadership skills to promote positive relations amongst managers and employees to ensure a healthy working environment, inclusivity and diversity.
Currently, I work with the leading International Real Estate Company in Mozambique where I double up as a Sales & Operations Manager and a Property Consultant for Maputo & Matola – concentrating in sales and letting of residential properties. As a custodian of the Brand on behalf of the Franchisee, my role ensures the company meets its financial and operational targets and plans, through the effective leadership of franchise and efficient implementation of appropriate strategies, policies & procedures. My approach is building positive relationships, encouraging diversity and inclusion with colleagues at all levels and speaking freely to inspire a positive work environment thus high performance.

After successfully recruiting, onboarding and training over 30 agents, with over 60% of them attaining the highly coveted Gold Club status, I felt it’s time to roll up my sleeves and give it a shot. I love brick & mortar and beautiful curated spaces as well as the satisfaction that comes with matching a beautiful property to its new owner. It is like playing cupid, only between people and properties!
When not drafting polices and ensuring operations run optimally, you will find me spending quality time with my family watching movies, reading, enjoying nature drives or trying different cuisines. Family values are very vital to me as they give me a sense of belonging, identity and tribe. I am also involved in different charitable causes that are close to my heart – being women, children and the elderly. Being of service and in service allows me time to genuinely go the extra mile to put a smile in people’s faces. I believe in doing the right thing and doing well by others!
I am thrilled to be leaving my behind the desk comfort and getting into the murky waters of field work. It is time to walk the talk and put all those theoretical lessons, strategies, ideas into practice.
