Hi, my name is Marianne Furlong and l live and work in the beautiful Conservation Village of Scarborough.
In 2012, I joined the Pam Golding family as a Resident Agent.
Prior to this, I represented South Africa on the World Windsurfing Circuit as well as running my own transport company.
In 2014, my hubby Russ and myself bought a Tranquilo, a 40ft Catamaran and together with some mates, competed in the Cape to Rio Race. This extended into an amazing 2-year sailing sabbatical making some incredible and unforgettable memories.
Upon our return, we felt an undeniable pull back into the industry. Teaming up with my business partner, Elly Abels, who also resides in Scarborough, we successfully realized our shared vision of not only making a living but also striving to preserve the enchanting simplicity of life. Our aim was to maintain an environment characterized by lit streets, and tarred roads, where children could freely stroll down to the beach, and where dogs had the right of way. Despite the village's size, we accomplished our mission and even managed to set a few records along the way.
