I am Ling Dobson

I am Knysna & Plett
I am the awe-inspiring view from Conrad Pezula.
I am gentle paddling down the Keurbooms.
I am quiet moments with feet in the sand at Freshline.
I am chilled Cap Classique at Bramon Wine Estate.
I am crashing waves at the Estate’s edge.

I am Knysna & Plett Principal Agent, Ling Dobson.

I, Ling Dobson, have been actively involved in assisting you, the buyer find the “Place that makes you happy” for the past 15 years here in Knysna and Plett. I love this profession, it is dynamic and exciting. Working for PGP, always ‘ahead of the Game’, keeps me motivated, informed and proud of being a PGP Team Player. I love the people I meet, and I love the challenge of finding clients their “SPOT in the sun”. I am the Franchisee and Principal of Pam Golding Properties Knysna and Plett. I founded the Pam Golding Knysna Literary Festival, now running in its 7th year, and nomination top 5 BASA awards.

I am a qualified Franchisee with NQF5 and PDE (MPRE). I’ve successfully been selling in the Knysna area since 2001, when I was introduced to the real estate profession. I bought the Knysna Franchise in 2009 and then acquired Plettenberg Bay 2013. I have journeyed through the university of LIFE travelling and working extensively abroad in different walks of life. I would like to think that I am possibly one of the most successful sales agent in the Knysna and Plett area. In the past I have successfully sold a castle on Noetzie Beach and have the record for the highest achieved sale in Knysna on Pezula Private Estate Cove.

Together with Nicola Reardon we have successfully retained the Lion’s Share of all sales on Pezula topping it with a recent R11 million. I have been with Pam Golding Properties here in Knysna since early 2001. I achieved GoldClub status already in the 2nd year, and have successfully maintained that status, even after purchasing the Franchise in 2009, e.g. managing and selling. In the years before the worldwide property slump, I successfully assisted and enjoyed ‘the journey’ with many international buyers and their property investments here in Knysna, Plett and the Garden Route.

I have a number of very high-end exclusive mandates in Knysna and Plett and have successfully been able to give the right exposure through the strong PGP media avenue. When I am not engrossed in property, I walk, read, travel and enjoy entertaining. I believe that having lived and experienced so many different walks of life such as working for myself, Manufacturing, Public Relations, Cosmetics, Travel & Sport, gives one the perspective and insight to know and understand the human psyche, to have empathy and know how to “listen”.

Through establishing the Knysna Literary Festival we have managed to imprint the name of PGP Knysna in the minds of the Community. Our CSI project for the community has established a love for writing amongst students, and in this quest to stimulate knowledge and awareness we have added a platform to introduce and expose to the local and international visiting community the awesome SA writers. We have made a mark! Our Delicious Word Journey & State of National Panel Discussion have become top event sellers.

“Ling went out of her way, no other agent did this for us. Picked us up at George airport and asked if we were tired? As the number one house on our list had an offer and she wanted us to see it now. We love Ling, she is a true friend. Not the ordinary Agent. She went beyond call of duty. She was and is always available. She is THE Rock Star of Real Estate Agents.”

Fatti Varnier-Blake

“It was a pleasure and a privilege, thank you!”

Deon Meyer

“KLF is creative and the format is innovative, with the opportunity to mingle with other free thinkers. The KLF in my opinion will soon be the literary fest that any worthy author worth his salt will want to be present at.”

Riaan Manser

“Ling is extremely competent & professional. We became good friends and it was never a question who to approach when we decided to sell our property last year, we immediately contacted Ling to market it for us. We received excellent service and she concluded the sale of our house. The entire process was handled very professionally, with great care and everything went smoothly.”

Lyndsey Viljoen

“You've got a fabulous festival. There's a genuine love of literature, and an appreciation of writers which I think everyone feel so they're all happy and in return giving of their best. You have the advantage of being a stress free festival. There’s an intimacy and warmth which is rare, I hope you can maintain that in years to come.”

Rahla Xenouplos

“My wife and I met Ling and she was very pleasant to work with from day one. What surprises us was the scope of services Pam Golding offers after sale when we had some problems with the money transfer from Europe to SA and finding a long term tenant for the first 2 years. We felt safe with her as our partner in the process. I would recommend any if buying and selling a home.”

Dieter and Sabine Schukai

“I thoroughly enjoyed the level of debate at this year's Knysna Literary Festival. The recipe is a clear winner: beautiful scenery, provocative words and great food and wine. I will have to write another book to be invited again.”

Adriaan Basson

“Our dealings with you in specific have been most pleasurable and we can only highly recommend you to potential new buyers or sellers. It is rare in this day and age to find the type of service, dedication and attention you have given us and it has been a privilege dealing with you. Be assured that should we ever intend to sell our new home, you will be our first port of call.”

Alex and Ren Catania

“Ling has always conducted herself very professionally, efficiently and ethically. She has shown patience in the presence of demanding clients whilst never failing to exude enthusiasm for her product.”

Dick Aubin

“Huge congratulations on the event being such a success this year, you all deserved such a brilliant response.”
