Monique Halfpenny

“Always listen with your heart.”

Hello, I’m Monique and I’ve been working with Pam Golding Properties since 2007.  I specialize in sales in the residential and agricultural district of Elgin/Grabouw.  When I’m not selling properties I enjoy baking cakes, going for walks in our beautiful countryside and spending time with my family and friends.

I have been working in real estate for 14 years enjoying co-coordinating the conveyancing process and administrative side of the business.  In 2015 I venturing out into sales and realizing just how much this previous experience is assisting me.  I am enjoying interacting with people, understanding needs and being able to fulfill property requirements for buyers and sellers.

I obtained my NQF4 qualification and thereafter wrote the PDE exam to become a fully qualified estate agent in 2017.  I service the farming district of Elgin and Grabouw.

The most fulfilling part of my job is ensuring that both buyers and sellers experience a professional service and a smooth transfer process with constant communication amongst all parties.

My career highlight is being part of the Pam Golding Properties selling team that was approached to market and sell a unique development situated on a working apple farm called Elgin Village.  More recently we have had a number of sales in the Klipkop area as lifestyle trends have changed and families are looking to work from home and accommodate their extended family, making these properties ideal.

The most notable sale I have had was selling the large sheds that are situated within Elgin Village to a client who has upgraded the building into the now ever popular Elgin Railway market.

In my spare time I’m normally in my kitchen testing out some new baking recipes.  I enjoy going for walks in the countryside and soaking up the beautiful area I live in.  Spending time with my family and supporting the community wherever I can.  I don’t do any mountain biking as I’m quite a danger to fellow cyclists but with family and friends being keen cyclists I am roped in as a support vehicle.  I’m far better with my feet on the ground, sipping a good cappuccino and taking in the spectacular views, it’s far safer for me.
