Hello, I’m Jane Claxton and I’ve been a property consultant since 1993 having started my career in Westville and Cowies Hill. I joined Pam Golding Properties when I moved to Durban North in 1999. I specialise in residential sales in both freehold and sectional title from the Umgeni River to Umhlanga as well as in Sunningdale, Glen Anil and Glen Hills. Being creative, I have a love of architecture (a closet/wannabe architect), interior decorating, garden design, gardening and oil painting. Reading and bird watching are also some of my top interests. My sport is golf and I love playing on the courses right on my doorstep.
When I started in property in 1993, South Africa was going through a huge change, property was at an all-time low and there were far more sellers than buyers. With little experience and lots of enthusiasm I sold 5 houses in my first 3 months, my confidence soared and my new career was born. I have all the required professional qualifications such as my NQF4, CEA and PPRE as well as stay abreast and keep updated on all property related changes by attending relative seminars and workshops. I am also a qualified landscaper.
I’ve always loved the whole package of a home from the architecture of the house, its garden and its interior design. I really enjoy assisting my buyers in showing them the potential of their home and the changes that can be made to suit their needs, especially when it’s hard for them to visualise. The best reward is the many buyers that have become sellers and had the confidence in me to handle the resale of their home. I sell 80% of my Sole mandates.
