Zimbali Lakes Resort will be protected by state-of-the-art security systems throughout, including water edge CCTV and beams, perimeter thermal cameras and electrified fencing with continuous foot patrols, all monitored at the 24-hour advanced onsite security centre, supported by fibre-optic enabled communications and technology.

Perimeter fencing will be fitted with an early alert system which warns of any attempt to breach the perimeter no matter how small.

Each resident will be equipped with biometric ID for access control means no more keys and no more fuss.

Education

Very Few Residential Estates on the North Coast are spoilt as much as the Zimbali Lakes Resort for excellent education options within a few minutes drive. With renown schools such Ashton International College (junior college from 3 years and senior college to Grade 12) and Reddam House (Stage1 to Grade 12) only 2-3 km up north and Crawford’s Ballito Campus (Grade 000 – 12) 10 km to the south, some of KZN’s finest educational institutions are found almost at Zimbali’s doorstep.

Other nearby schools also include Curro School and Umhlali Preparatory School.

Healthcare

Netcare’s Alberlito Hospital, opened in 2007, is only 2.5 km north of Zimbali Lakes’ main Gate. The hospital has 5 operating theatres and 119 beds with world class facilities equipped with advanced medical technology and provide high quality patient care and services.

A private 32-bed day hospital, is currently under construction within the mixed-use Odyssey Ballito development 3 km away from Zimbali Lakes.

Finally Zimbali Lakes very own mix-use resort “The Boulevard” is scheduled to cater for a wide selection of medical rooms.

Shopping

The new Ballito Town Centre is only 2-3 km away from Zimbali Lakes Resort and offers a fully comprehensive shopping experience by national retailers and local outlets alike. Centers include the Ballito Lifestyle Centre and Ballito Junction. These are wheelchair friendly and free on-site parking with 24 hour-security is provided at the Lifestyle Centre. The Gateway Theatre of Shopping, one of the largest malls in the southern hemisphere is only a 20 minutes’ drive south of Zimbali.

Travel

Zimbali Lakes Resort’s direct access onto the M4 and close proximity to the N2 offers ideal and convenient routes both up and down the KZN coast.
Umhlanga and Durban respectively can be reached within 20 and 40 Minutes. The Wild Coast (south), Drakensberg (west) and Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Games Reserve as well as the St Lucia World Heritage Site (north) are within a 2 -2.5 hour travelling radius.

Most notably though, the King Shaka International Airport is only 10 minutes away from Zimbali Lakes, making Zimbali a perfect ‘semigration’ option and short-term holiday retreat for the Gauteng-based business community.
