Mount Anderson is a remote  7,145ha private game and water catchment reserve set high up in the dramatic mountain landscape of Mpumalanga Province, South Africa. Recognised as an idyllic retreat, the reserve offers breathtaking and majestic scenery and protects rare and endangered mountain wildlife.

Situated approximately 12kms north east of Lydenburg (Mashishing) via the R36 road towards Ohrigstad. Road access is off the R36 from a well maintained gravel road. The reserve also has its own heli-pad as well as access to a neighbouring farm's private airstrip. The core protected area is made up of no less than 13 farm portions (Steynsverwacht and portions of Kranskloof, Goedverwacht and Kliprots) on a remote mountain water catchment reserve situated between Sabie, Longtom Pass, Lydenburg (Mashishing) and Pilgrim's Rest. It is surrounded by the likes of the Sterkspruit Nature Reserve to the south, Gustav Klingbiel Nature Reserve to the west and the Hartebeesvlakte and Ohrigstad Dam Nature Reserve to the north and east.

Proclaimed as a greater protected nature reserve, much of the revenue generated by this area is a result of activity based tourism, with the majority of income derived from fishing, wildlife and associated industry. The committee enjoys the services of suitably qualified environmentally orientated scientists to assist in the management of this larger area as a single conservation entity.
