Large property for sale near the center of Sabie

Are you a developer and/or a person who loves to restore a building declared as a National Monument and is significant in respect of the history of Sabie? Then you must make arrangements to view this property with a selling price to dream of! The one building on the property of 3,7805 ha was declared a National Monument and Provincial Heritage Site (Grade 11 site) on 9 October 1987. Interested parties should therefore make sure that they are aware of what have to be done with regard to this building (site). The building is known as Huntington Hall and was the first brick building in Sabie. It was constructed in the 1890's. The original owner is also seen as one of the founders of Sabie and he started the Transvaal Gold Mining Estates (TGME). The building is an intrinsic part of the history of Sabie, at one time housing the first school. Although the building is in a bad state it should be saved. The other buildings on the property were horse stables which were converted into a residential property and a hostel for a school being housed in Huntington Hall until recently. There also is an office building next to Huntington Hall. Taking into account that the property is located adjacent to existing township areas of Sabie the remainder of the property has potential for residential development. There also is a cemetery in the north western corner of the property where there are 18 graves, inter alia the grave of the original owner of the property. This site should also be restored. Sabie is situated at the foot of the Long Tom pass and is surrounded by beautiful mountains. There are spectacular waterfalls near sabie and the renowned Kruger National Park is only a 45 minute drive away. Sabie has many fine eateries, quite a number of B and B's and lodges as well as a craft beer brewery. Sabie is part of the well known Panorama Route and of the annual Sabie river tube race. It also is popular for cycling and mountain biking.
