Olive Estate

The estate is planted with ± 337 ha of olives with another ± 35 ha of arable land. Listed for 105,656 ha (5 000 m³ per ha = 528 280 m³) water for irrigation from the Berg River with two points of supply to the property. Irrigation happens from 3 storage dams with a combined holding capacity of ± 458 000 m³. Water supply supplemented by equipped boreholes. Boreholes also supply potable water fit for household consumption. The estate features the following buildings: Main house, cottage, shed (with a flat), staff housing, several workshops and a state-of-the-art olive oil processing facility. The processing facility is made up out of several adjoining rooms, some of which are temperature controlled with insulated ceilings. The facility is equipped with 25 x 10 000 liter stainless steel tanks and processing machinery imported from Italy, able to process ± 5 tons of olives per hour. The estate has all the required equipment to prepare and package the full olive production from the farm into the final product, ready for distribution into the consumer market.
