39 Hectare organic wine farm in Stellenbosch

A halcyon organic wine farm with views towards False Bay and Stellenbosch mountains. Steeped in history, one of the oldest farms in the area, with the land being granted by Simon van der Stel in 1695. There are breathtaking views from the hills on the farm where you can see from Ceres to Hangklip and from Cape Point to Table Mountain with a full vista of the mountain ranges and False Bay. An upstream farm with a rich source of water, both by a natural spring, found in a deep granite rock face and a run-off from the Kanonkop and surrounding slopes. The farm is part of Bottelary Conservancy and has been declared a Unesco World Herirage site. The current owners have invested significantly in regenerating the natural habitat creating animal pathways and removing thousands of alien trees and plants. There is an exquisite valley that is home to a number of wild animals including Karacul, Steenbokkies and porcupines.
