picturesque farm with many opportunities

This picturesque farm is situated along the Gats River 15km south of Nieu Bethesda and about 55km from Graaff-Reinet. The river meanders through the property for about 8km and offers spectacular ravines, rock pools, springs and an abundance of water. The riverine includes Camdeboo Stinkwood and Acacia trees. The beautiful, spacious, historic homestead built in 1865 has mostly yellow wood and oregan pine floors and ceilings. Situated next to the homestead is a large office and two self-contained cottages. Together with the above, there are all the necessary out-buildings needed for normal farming activities. All buildings are in fairly good condition and supplied by Eskom power and very good water. The farm is well suited to cattle, sheep and most game species and at present has an abundance of kudu plus wildebeest, blesbuck, rhebok and springbuck. There is a large variety of bird life along the river and Greywing on the slopes. Presently there is 4ha of permanent irrigation. In addition there are +18ha of old lands flooded from the Gats River which are presently not in production. An excellent opportunity for stock, game or life-style farming.
