A one-of-a-kind unforgettable experience - Plettenberg Park

Rebuilt following the 2017 Garden Route fires, Plettenberg Park is now almost complete and for sale as a beautiful 10 suite boutique hotel and spa or a magnificent residence. It is situated in a private nature reserve, nestling on a cliffs edge, offering dramatically sweeping views of the Indian Ocean which is an excellent platform from which to view the humpback whales that visit this stretch of ocean in winter, as well as the numerous schools of dolphin that are playful residents all year round. The position is suited for all types of weather, brilliant and lazy in the summer sunshine, with the spectacular ocean view, whilst in winter experience the wild, blustery and enveloping days saturated with log fires and wraps Open spaces and the symmetry of both natural and manmade structures play many roles within the architecture of this dwelling. The design is refreshingly simple, with long lines running unobtrusively along the length of the building resulting in spacious windows and wide terraces. The original wing consists of five bedrooms, (one large twin sea-facing, one small twin sea-facing, one small twin pool-facing and two large twin lake-facing) while the new wing consists of four large double sea-facing and one large twin sea-facing rooms. A total of ten rooms are on offer. Unrivalled views of the Cape's beautiful coastline are a dominant presence. Each room has a private balcony to allow you to enjoy the view. Rooms contain large sleigh beds (single and double) with ample cupboard space, under floor heating and a combustion fireplace. Each bathroom has a separate bath and shower. The ten rooms are comprised: • Two twin lake-facing • Three twin sea-facing • One twin pool-facing • Four double sea-facing The interior is somewhat contemporary, with a dash of sophistication and reflecting the trends of today, be it comfort, restraint or sophistication; all of which suit the most discerning tastes. The décor, hand-picked by interior designer Sarah Stevens, consists of natural materials and neutral tones that permeate the entire building. Relax in the sun on your private cove beach situated below the hotel or enjoy the new 25-meter infinity pool, surrounded by wide decking, perfect for a row of sun loungers, while to the south, the pool spills over to views of the Indian Ocean and to the north, the pool faces your own private lake. Plettenberg Park is situated on 40 hectares within a 200-hectare nature reserve with approximately three km of cliff faced shoreline. The park has three natural wetlands plus a large dam filled with bass. The park abounds with small game and animals Over sixty-five bird species have been noted on the reserve. A network of walking paths allows you to explore the area for yourself. A one of a kind unforgettable experience - Plettenberg Park .
