Kate Taylor

Hello, my name is Kate Taylor and I have been working with Pam Golding since February 2011. I specialise in residential sales in Harare although I have sold in other areas in Zimbabwe. When I am not working I love spending time with my family, especially my year old grandson. As a family we love to entertain and meet up with friends. I was born in Harare, Zimbabwe and began working in Real Estate in 1978, as a receptionist at Syfrets Real Estate in Harare.Get in touch and let’s discuss how I can help you with your property requirements.

I had just returned after 6 years from living in the UK and in Europe.  After a few months I approached the Sales Manager who offered me a place in the Sales Department. I was very pleased to be given this opportunity. Under his instruction I set out on the path to selling properties. At that time Zimbabwe was going through great changes. The property market was very different from today and Syfrets was marketing hundreds of residential properties. We had great fun and we were always extremely busy trying to see as many properties as possible.

I had only been in the Sales Dept few months when I hit the jackpot. A client approached me looking for a commercial property in central Harare. I was able to find him 2 properties in main street Harare which he purchased- the sale materialized which was a huge bonus to both the company and me. I married and went to live in Malawi in 1981. My 3 children were all born there. I did a teaching Diploma in Montessori education and then taught for a number of years in the local school. In February 2011 I was very keen to return into the property business and began working for Pam Golding Zimbabwe.

It was a very happy day for me although I was nervous as I had been out of employment for a number of years, my fears were unfounded as my MD, manager and my fellow workers put me at ease. Although the property market has been exceptionally difficult due to the economic situation in Zimbabwe it has also been a very stimulating time working with inspirational and caring colleagues. I expanded my understanding of IT, but more importantly my knowleadge of buying and selling of properties increased. It has been a very rewarding and happy period in my life.

I have since done in house training and qualified as a registered agent in 2012. I have also achieved Negotiators awards in 2013, 2014 and 2015. My job is important to me as I have always needed to work. Working in Real Estate is extremely interesting and challenging not only meeting new clients on a daily basis who you get to know and form firm and happy relationships. I especially love working with my partner Erika and the rest of the team in the office who are friendly, caring and helpful.
