Daan Nel

Allow me to introduce myself: I am Daan Nel, and I am proud to have recently joined one of the premier real estate agencies. My current residence in Bashewa, where I have resided for the past 38 years, has provided me with a deep understanding of the local community and an appreciation for the idyllic country lifestyle that many of our clients seek to enjoy.

I matriculated in the Free State before fulfilling my national service in the South African Defense Force. Following this, I pursued a four-year degree in Electrotechnical Engineering at Vall Triangle Technicon. My career journey commenced with Vaal Reef Exploration and Mining, providing me with valuable experience in the field.

Subsequently, I embarked on an eight-year tenure at Old Mutual, during which I held various significant roles, including Administration Head, Representative, District Manager, and Production Manager. My dedication and hard work were recognized with the achievement of Silver Status in Klule 51.

In 1992, I took the entrepreneurial leap, establishing 'Sleeperique,' a business specializing in custom-made furniture crafted from solid hardwood, including railway sleepers. I excelled in understanding clients' unique needs, design, manufacturing, and installation.

In addition to my professional accomplishments, I have also made notable contributions in sports and leadership. I have been actively involved in Eastern Free State rugby and Free State athletics. Furthermore, I served as the Chairman of the Vaal Triangle Representative Students Council for two years.
