    Mahlalela Private Game Reserve is situated west of the Magudu Mountain in Northern KwaZulu Natal near the Josini Dam and Swaziland border. Mahlalela was established via the Memorandum of Agreement signed by the owners consolidating 9 game (ex-cattle) ranches into a conservation reserve of 9491 hectares with one encompassing peripheral boundry fence. The reserve varies in topography from 440m above sea level to 950m above sea level due to all the mountains and therefore contributes greatly to the biodiversity that is present
