Things you need to know

Established in 1867 this is the most pristine nature reserve in the Gauteng Province with it's abundance of exceptional wildlife and bird life that consist of 27 species of wildlife including leopard. Also to be found is a vulture colony of about 400 birds and 413 other species of birds that include black eagle and a variety of other raptors also occur. This 1600 hectares / 4000 acres Nooitgedacht private game farm is nestled in one of the oldest mountain ranges in the world. Set against the southern slopes of the Magaliesberg Mountains, the highest point in the Magaliesberg Mountain Range is on this game reserve, with gentle grass plains that give way to steeper slopes scattered with rocks and boulders from the sheer ancient sandstone cliffs thrusting up into the sky. With a paved road from the base of the mountain to the highest point where the most spectacular views of the valley as far as Hartebeespoort Dam can be seen. To the north the Pilanesburg Mountain Range, close to Sun City, can be seen and the imposing cliffs are visible from the north-western suburbs of Johannesburg, 70km away on a clear day. A fountain (natural spring) that starts within the mountain and it has never stopped flowing in 150 years at a rate of 12000 litres/hour to 60000 litres/hour 24 hours a day. All the dwellings, gardens and wildlife get water from the spring with no need of using any of the 11 boreholes on the farm. There are 4 dwelling houses on the property that include the main house of about 680 square meters with 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms and 3 garages. The second house is about 600 square meters with 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms and 4 garages with 2 storerooms. The third dwelling is a 2 bedrooms cottage with 1 bathroom and is 140 square meters while the fourth dwelling is a game ranger's house with 3 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms and 4 garages with 3 storerooms. Also on the property is a tourist camp in a beautiful riverine forest that has permanent tents with en suite bathrooms and large and small chalets. There are numerous separate equipment sheds, storerooms, cold rooms, large kraals with stock handling facilities and five horse stables. Several communication towers on the highest point that generate good passive income. We have a lot more detailed information should you be interested.
