SELF CATERING COTTAGES

McGregor Country Cottages comprises three cottages and a main house. It includes one sensitively restored historical cottage, two newly built charming thatched cottages and a main house nestling in an orchard of apricot trees with rolling lawns, vegetable gardens and a swimming pool area for relaxing. All of the cottages are fully equipped for self catering. The extent of the resort is 6,722m².

BUSINESS CENTRE / MAIN HOUSE

The reception area is a large country kitchen with a wood-burning stove and seating for approximately 30 people around large Oregon tables with bunches of onions and herbs hanging from the original cane ceiling and a cosy bar. This building also includes a study/office, guest toilet, large prep kitchen, separate scullery, a laundry, storerooms and a large bed-sitter en-suite, as well as two other bedrooms and a kitchenette, plus attic storage. The "Buitekombuis" could be used as a restaurant or tea room. The main house can either be occupied by the owners or can be used for guest accommodation. The building is 450m². There is also a store-cum-workshop area for handyman's use.

McGregor Country Cottages has been in operation for 15 years and has a regular guest base both locally and overseas. They have in the past hosted many tour groups and company conferences and can supply information on all past conferences.

There is good potential for expansion both on the catering and conference side, but the owner would like to retire. There is an open area in front of the reception/outdoor entertainment area which lend itself to the simple erection of a semi-open air thatched boma with open fireplace and coal stove etc, at one end, and plenty of seating. More cottages can be built on the property and subdivision rights have been granted which can facilitate a selling off of cottages individually at a later stage.
