Johannesburg is a short drive away and offers all of the activities and facilities that one would expect to find in a major South African city, including clubs, restaurants, bars, cinemas and theatres.

A BRIEF HISTORY OF NORTHCLIFF RANDBURG

Areas of Randburg, specifically Northcliff, date back to the middle of the 19th century, when the area was inhabited by the Boers. Originally, Randburg comprised four farms - Klipfontein, Driefontein, Olievenhoutspoort and Boskop – which were later subdivided by the sons of their owners.

Randburg, as it’s known today, was established during the Great Trek. For many years, Randburg succeeded in retaining its autonomy from Johannesburg. However, in recent municipal elections, the town lost its independence and was incorporated into the greater Johannesburg area.
