| There are presently five
eateries in the town (and plans for more). Napier Farmstall
– renowned for its picturesque setting and great
food. The Fox, with true British pub-style home-cooking.
Pascal’s, a welcoming cosy bistro experience,
Gunners Lodge, which has a memorable balcony overlooking
the rural valley and The Sundance should a pizza or
pasta be your thing! There are also an abundance of
home style preserves, cheeses, organic veggies and the
like to be found. The best pies in town can be found
at Moerse Farmstall. A toy museum and a military museum
where one can watch the owner mould toy soldiers. A
magical Fairy Shop for the little girl in you. Napier
Antiques and Greta’s Place for Bric ‘n Brac
are also well worth browsing. Walks in the surrounding
hills promise fynbos delights and sweeping panoramas.
A visit to nearby Bredasdorp with its own selection
of restaurants, a shipwreck museum and an interesting
Candle factory. And to round off the day, a drive to
Struisbaai for Calamari Strips and Chips as the sun
sets. |
